Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos suffers dislocated shoulder

Real Madrid have confirmed Sergio Ramos dislocated a shoulder in the 4-0 Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Spain defender was replaced in the 58th minute of Tuesday night's game, after landing awkwardly following a foul by Donetsk midfielder Taras Stepanenko, a tackle which resulted in Stepanenko being handed a second yellow card.
In a statement, Real Madrid said: "Following the tests carried out on Sergio Ramos today in the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, the player has been diagnosed with dislocated acromioclavicular joint in his left shoulder. His condition will be evaluated."
The 29-year-old, who was linked with a big-money move to Manchester United over the summer, has started all four of Real's games this season.
Ramos was one of three players to suffer injuries in the Group A win over Shakhtar, with Raphael Varane and Gareth Bale also picking up knocks.
Rafael Benitez revealed that Real Madrid's Gareth Bale suffered an injury against Shakhtar Donetsk, meaning he might miss their match with Granada at the weekend
While Varane's injury is not thought to be too serious, manager Rafa Benitez revealed he is rather more concerned about Bale's fitness.
"Gareth is the only one I am a little bit more negative about in terms of the time so we have to wait, see the doctor and see what happens," Benitez said.
